60-Day Drug Rehab Programs

Successful Addiction Recovery at Arrowwood Addiction Treatment Center

An Overview of 60-Day Drug Rehab Programs

Drug and alcohol addictions are classified as progressive diseases, meaning they will only worsen without treatment. The physical effects of long-term substance abuse can be fatal, and the risk of overdose is ever-present. Studies indicate that relapse rates after treatment range between 50-90%, which can discourage individuals from seeking help.

If you’re hesitant to seek treatment, take a moment to reflect on what you’ve lost due to addiction – relationships, boundaries, health, career, and more. Conversely, consider what you’ve gained from addiction – is there anything positive to note? Recovery can offer much more than active addiction ever could.

A 60-day inpatient rehab program provides a strong foundation for recovery, allowing individuals to focus on themselves and their well-being. Although it will be a challenging journey, the possibility of a better life is well worth the effort.

Why is the Length of a Drug Rehab Program Important?

Typically, there are three inpatient drug rehab program lengths: 30 days, 60 days, and 90 days. If you’re considering an inpatient drug rehab program in Virginia, you’ll have the opportunity to stay for two months, which can be incredibly beneficial.

During your stay, you’ll participate in a structured treatment program that includes group therapy, individual therapy, healthy meals, rest time, free time, and alternative therapies. Additionally, you’ll have time for medically supervised detox before starting therapy.

The program aims to equip you with the necessary skills to continue your recovery journey once you return home. This includes education on relapse prevention, identifying triggers, and developing coping mechanisms. When you complete the program, you should feel confident in your ability to stay sober and healthy.

Many programs also encourage participation in self-help groups such as Alcoholics Anonymous or Narcotics Anonymous. Although these groups are not affiliated with the program, meetings can occur at the treatment center for convenience. The goal is to establish a habit of attending meetings while in treatment, so you are more likely to continue attending them once you’re back home.

Choosing the Right Inpatient Rehab Program: Why 60 Days May Be Ideal

It’s important to figure out the ideal program length for your rehabilitation. Don’t worry, you don’t have to do this alone. A healthcare professional will guide you through the process to determine which program length is right for you.

It’s essential to note that longer programs aren’t always the best option. In fact, it may make the beginning of your recovery more difficult if you’re not ready for an extended stay.

If you need more than four weeks away from your home environment, a 60-day inpatient rehab program may be the best option. This program is ideal for people who have been struggling with severe substance use and have an unhealthy environment at home. When you stop using, it takes time to rebuild relationships and trust, and returning home too soon can lead to relapse.

For individuals who have unsuccessfully completed a 30-day program and cannot stay sober at home, an inpatient alcohol rehab program in Virginia may be an effective option. This could be due to environmental factors, or because their motivation for being sober isn’t as strong as they thought.

Moreover, many addicts and alcoholics struggle with mental health conditions such as depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, PTSD, and personality disorders. Alcohol and drugs are often used as coping mechanisms for these issues, making it crucial that your rehab program can address any underlying struggles. If left untreated, your chances of relapsing are higher when your mental health symptoms arise. Some treatment centers offer extended programs that cater to these mental health concerns, making them a valuable option to consider.
